I just knitted a sweater jacket for a one year old. Knitted well and looks great. I think it will be great for him this fall and winter. The yarn does tend to unravel on the cut ends while you are working it.
Did not give it 5 stars as I haven't seen it washed and dried.

I liked this yarn, but I didn't love it. I used it to make my husband a scarf and hat, and it grew a bit more than I anticipated (even after washing the gauge swatch). It does, for the most part, shrink back up in the dryer but it also looks used--too much halo--and tired after soaking, drying and blocking. I'm disappointed and unlikely to use it again.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran:

This was a reasonable priced aran weight yarn in super-wash merino. I was a better choice than a number of other yarns I researched. The Webs discount brought the total cost to quite rational.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran:

Made 2 hats for charity out of the 2 skeins I bought. Yarn is nice and soft, true Aran weight, yardage is good. However in 2/2 skeins there were defects-- knots (more than one) and slubs. The hat pattern (required) makes a reversible hat, so I had to be creative about rejoining the yarn ends (you cannot splice superwash yarn).
Will think twice about repurchasing this one.

This yarn is nice and soft, extrememly consistent, and was a joy to work with. I used it to make my first sweater- very nice stitch definition and warm too. However, I've only worn the sweater 2 or 3 times so far and parts of it are already getting a little fuzzy- but I guess some amount of fuzz is to be expected from any yarn.
