Cascade Yarns Rabat

Named after one of the top tourist destinations in the world, Cascade Rabat brings beautiful color and brilliance to yarn. This wool, acrylic and silk blend is a single-ply, bulky weight yarn that's self-striping—in marled, tweedy colors that are just as gorgeous as the Moroccan city for which it's named. Made in China

I'm in love with this yarn

By kellypants

from putney vermont

Pros

  • Easy To Spit Splice
  • Fast Knit
  • Great Colors
  • Nice Blend
  • Washes Well

Cons

  • Has Knots

Best Uses

  • Hats
  • Scarves
  • Shawls
  • Sweaters

I've knitted a vest, a scarf and a shawl with this. love the yarn; super fast knit, lovely colors. There are knots, quite a few but they knots are sturdy (so you can leave them) and they pay attention to the colors at time (no abrupt color change at the knot). You can also spit splice, I find I get 4 smaller strands unraveling, I cut two from each end and splice.

I can't buy enough, even at the sale price it's a lot of $ for 100+ yards

used 10.5-13 size needles.

Worth the sale price

By MeaganBacon

from Northern California

Pros

  • Colorways

Cons

  • Knotty
  • Rough

Best Uses

I'm using mine to knit a cowl on big needles. The color I got (fog) is really pretty, and I like the way it is striping. But it is rough yarn, not the cleanest (little twiggy stuff spun into it), and my balls each had a knot in them. Overall I like the yarn, but I think it's overpriced when at regular price.
