Lovely finished product
from Fairview, PA
I used the yarn to make a lace weight scarf and even though it was fingering weight, it came out lovely. It was a simple pattern, doubling stitches every eight rows so by the time I was done, I had 1500 stitches on the needles. The scarf turned out beautifully and looks soft and luxurious. I made it as a gift for a friend. My only downside was when win dining the first Hank of yarn, it was so tangled that I ended up wasting a bit of it.

I took the advice of the other commenters and I'm glad I did. I needed a fingering weight yarn with a lot of drape and sheen that could stand up to a complicated pattern involving fancy cables. It is a tunic length sweater so it requires considerable yardage and takes forever. The price was the deciding factor. The color is lovely and has a lot of life to it. It seems heathery without actually being heathery (if that makes any sense.) The skeins were a little tricky to unwind due to snarls. Also, the yarn has very little body as you are knitting it up, so it sort of just lies there in your hands. This makes it a little tiresome to work with, but the finished product is worth it.

The pattern I'm knitting calls for lots of cables and twisted stitches and the yarn delivers in spades! The cables just pop right out. And the drape is wonderful as well. As for the feel of the yarn, well, it's about as soft as they get. I can't wait to wear the finished product.

Lovely yarn, but it's not DK
from Nova Scotia
The colours are gorgeous, the yarn is soft and has a lovely sheen and drape. It was listed as DK when I purchased it from your website, however. It is not a DK weight yarn. It's fingering weight. The recommended gauge is 28/40.
