Cascade Yarns Forest Hills

Silky soft Cascade Forest Hills is a silk and merino wool blend yarn with a lovely, slight sheen. Forest Hills is a fingering weight yarn that comes in gorgeous solid colors - and generous yardage in each ball (785!) - will be plenty for a lacy shawl or wrap. This yarn is an easy choice - the hard part will be which color to choose! Made in China

Very nice to knit with!

By BarbS

from Pierre, SD

Pros

  • Nice Stitch definition

Cons

  • knots easily

Best Uses

I'm using this for a lace cardigan, and I love the fabric I'm getting, and the stitch definition. It is a "sticky" yarn, so it knots itself if you aren't careful, but I will definitely use it again. Especially since it is such a great price!

    By daisy

    from maine

    Pros

    • Feels Light And Lovely

    Cons

    • Multiiple Irregularities
    • Won't Hold Nupps
    • Wont Hold Nubbs

    Best Uses

    • Lace

i started making an estonian style lace shawl with nupps ... i tried to make the nupps so many times, but the yarn would not tighten up and hold the nupp. also, in the first 6" of knitting i found 2 occurrences where the yarn thickened to twice the width.
