Comments about Cascade Yarns Baby Alpaca Chunky Discontinued Colors:

I've knit a hat with this and will try a sweater next. It's amazingly soft and nice for how cheap it is! Even at full price I think it's a fantastic deal.

It stretches out a bit and relaxes, so take that into account. Definitely go down an additional needle size for ribbing.

Very happy with how soft it is, but the color was not true to the photo on yarn.com. The picture showed a forest green but the actual yarn was a very dark greenish, swampy brown. I am not happy with the color, but my boyfriend doesn't mind it and the sweater is for him. So there you go.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Baby Alpaca Chunky Discontinued Colors:

This yarn is soft and easy to knit with, and my end product turned out beautifully. The only con I would say is when cabling (I made a cabled hat), the part of the hat that was cabled was ovbiously much more frizzy than the rest of the hat, which took away from the overall beauty and consistent look of the hat. Also, if you have to remove rows and start over, the yarn gets frizzy very fast compared to other Alpaca yarns I've used of the same weight.

I have a difficult time working with yarn that does not intrigue my hands...and Cascade yarn seems to be a great fit for me. I have knit up three hats in about four days. This yarn is easy to work with and knits into lovely patterns that are pleasing to the eye. I will definitely stash up!

Comments about Cascade Yarns Baby Alpaca Chunky Discontinued Colors:

I used this yarn to crochet a scarf for my boyfriend for Christmas because we're spending it in Europe. The yarn is super soft and lovely to handle and wear. The only downsides I encountered were that I found out I am allergic to alpaca fur by doing this project, and the yarn has a tendency to shed if its crocheted and then unraveled a couple times, or if your yarn gets tangled and you have to un-knot it.

I got this yarn for a sweater for my5year old. WOW! It turned out amazing. It does shed a bit, but I expected that, and sooooo soft. Great stitch definition. Made it so easy. Fantastic bulky weight yarn.
