I got hooked on Noro bulky yarn some time ago and love all of them but one. It knits smoothly with unending color surprises. I must have made myself 15 Noro turtlenecks and every single time I've been stopped by someone who wanted to know where she could buy one. I've had people stop me and have me write down the name of the yarn and website where I get it. This, like almost all the bulky yarn, has enough of a blend so that the sweaters never pill. The blends are soft enough to wear against your skin. I made 2 sweaters out of 20 skeins of Obi (my sweaters fall about three inches above the knee). Never had more than two knots in a skein which is ok with me because you get so much yardage. This stuff is a show-stopper.

There can be a hippie/organic feel to the sweaters I've made because all have been on the vibrant color spectrum. I like feeling colorful and warm and hip wearing Noro on these dreadful snow/ice/overcast days. I got my knitting group hooked on this too. (Started with malabrigo but much too pilly, even as you're knitting)

            Too many knots

I bought this for the Cream Crisp sweater on the cover of their magazine. There were so many knots it made it impossible to follow the same color way.

                  • Sweater

I bought this to make the cardigan sweater on the cover of the Webs winter catalogue. The yarn is very pretty, but throughout the skein, the yarn had been joined by knots. Because it is a self-striping yarn, I have been trying to match the colors on each side of the cardigan. However, the colors are not consistent because the yarn is joined by knot in several places, which is removing some of the colors in the order. This has been very frustrating as I have had to separate each skein and splice the colors in so that they are consistent. I would've expected that from a lesser quality and price yarn, but not from this.
