Plymouth Yarn Coffee Beenz

From the Encore family of yarns, Plymouth Yarns Coffee Beenz is a grown up version of the much loved Jelli Beenz with a more muted color palette.  Coffee Beenz has the same great acrylic/wool blend where the main color is accented with a variegated strand.  Made in Turkey.

I've knitted with almost every single Jelli Beenz yarn color and I've NEVER been disappointed in both the quality of the item that I knitted .. and the way the item looked after being completed.

I've knitted both children's and adult sweaters and everything has always turned out perfectly. I love the Jelli Beenz yarns so much that every time I see new colors coming out, I always purchase enough to make something out of it. I'm always VERY happy with Jelli Beenz.

I bought Coffee Beenz by Plymouth Yarn after seeing a fetching beret pattern online knitted in the orange speckled color. When the yarn arrived by mail I was a bit put off. The color seemed harsh and the yarn coarse. But I needed a project for a 5-hour plane trip and took it along with me. Would you believe it — I began to realize that as the beret quickly took shape it was a darn cute thing, and so what if the yarn wasn't a soft merino or alpaca but a decent wool and acrylic, sturdy and dependable. I bought two other colors to knit similar hats for Christmas presents.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Coffee Beenz:

I knit several scarves for the Red Scarf project using this yarn. The tweed effect looks nice in a plain pattern or in a more complicated one. There is enough wool in the blend for it to block out nicely and not turn limp like 100% acryllic does.

I'm always a little hesitant when purchasing new (to me) yarn. This one didn't disappoint...soft and works up nicely. I'm currently working on a sweater in the dark brown and planning ahead as to my next project using this yarn. Really nice!

As a hand and tri-loom weaver I look for a yarn with substance, strength without bulk and good texture. Coffee Beenz was a serendipitous find for me and after working with it I have purchased more because of it's qualities. I gives a classy look to a sweater, shawls, hats and scarves when edged with a complimentary solid color.

This yarn worked up beautifully in a garter-stitch bordered kimono I made for my daughter's Christmas gift. It has a comfortably soft texture, and it's a plus that it can be machine washed.

I made two hats from Coffee Beenz. Worked up really quick. Was easy to "back out" unintended stitches. Very soft to the touch but substantial weight.
