Great for a warm weather baby blanket!
I purchased this product to make a baby blanket for my grandchild, due in February and living in Tempe.

I bought this yarn to make a couple of good-sized baby blankets. It is soft but very splity. Also, it's a very light-weight worsted -- much more like DK weight than regular worsted, so I can't get the gauge I want without the stitches looking much too loose. I think it'd be great for lightweight items, but I'm disappointed because it's much lighter than I wanted for the blankets. I'm trying a 3rd swatch using 2 strands, but I'm losing stitch definition on a beautiful pattern and, from the feel of the swatch, I think 2 strands are going to make it too heavy for a baby blanket.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
Started knitting a baby bib with 1 skein. Was so impressed with the yarn, decided to order enough to do a baby blanket. Came out so nice. One of the softest yarns I have ever used.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
I used three colors of this in a fairisle jumper. The colors are good and bright, the weight is excellent, and the knitted fabric feels amazingly soft without being "fluffy." It does split a little, but I know how to take care of it, so it's fine.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
My grandson won't wear anything that "itches" him, so this yarn is perfect. Never itchy, he loves his hats, sweaters, etc. I've also made many baby outfits with Jeanne, and the recipients are always pleased!

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
Love the softness of this yarn. It is DK weight and didn't work with my intended cardigan. I am anxious to use it in a summer shawl. I will order more for baby items.

I make infant and children's items to sell. This is the main yarn that I use. The colors are consistent and it knits up easily.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
For the most part I am not a huge fan of 100% cottons.. I find them very heavy. However, I HIGHLY recommend this yarn. It is extremely soft, lighter than most worsted weight 100% cottons & comes in lovely colors. I hear some have had problems with it being "splitty" I find that if you take your time with it, it is just fine.
