Plymouth Yarn Kudo
Perfect for slightly warmer garments, Kudo is a lovely cotton blend yarn that knits up into stripes with a great tweedy look. You'll love working with it and watching the colors change. Made in China.

I find Kudo fun to work with. Have bought it several times. My only draw back is that it tends to twist quite a bit, so I have found it easier to crochet than knit. I love the unexpected color combinations and the fact that the stripes are often totally random. Keeps your interest alive throughout the project. You would be hard pressed to create the same object twice. This picture shows a slouch I crocheted using Kudo #54.

I received 2 skeins in a 'mystery' bag and purchased a third to complete the shrug I was making. All three skeins had the same problems. Thickness is listed as Worsted but ran from lace to roving and I frequently had issues with it pulling apart forcing me to rip out stitches to weave in new ends. It twisted up frequently no matter what I tried to prevent it. I also found pieces of hay throughout all three skeins, some as long as a 1/4". As most of the pieces had clearly been dyed it wasn't a case of picking it up from a display setting. This was the worst yarn I've ever worked with.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
I have used this yarn for light weight summer tees for myself, my best friend and my Sister. My friend says that the sweater I made from this yarn is her favorite. I love the drape, the feel, and the softness of the sweaters I made with Kudo. It is a delight to work with and the colors are just gorgeous.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
Loved the colors and the way they blend into each other as they transgress from one shade to another. I did find it somewhat difficult to roll in a ball from the skein. Be sure to buy extra in order to have enough to match colors from piece to piece (if making a sweater) as the stripes are very definite and you may have to discard many yards until you reach the color needed to start off on the second piece if you want it to match the first. Very good weight for summer knitting

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
It is interesting to read the other comments because I have not had any of the problems that folks have mentioned. The yarn has been even, not twisty nice to work with and a great color. Ive made a shawl and fingerless mits so far. It makes me wonder if there were some bad lots or perhaps my color-way is better. I have the gemtones color-way.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
I made a cowl for a friend, and it draped perfectly, not the least bit stiff for a mostly cotton yarn. The self-striping was just right for a cowl also. She's a picky friend, and she loved it!

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
Love this yarn but wish it had a red colorway and that the yardage was consistent. I am selling items knitted from this yarn as fast as Ican knit them in two galleries. People love it.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
I liked the look of this yarn in the skein. The components from which it is made were a bonus in my opinion. Once working with it, I discovered that it is very unevenly spun - beware! If you want a slubby but consistent texture to your fabric, this is not the yarn to use.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Kudo:
Be sure to swatch. I had problems getting the correct gauge. I moved down two needle sizes and I have never had a problem with gauge before. I also wish I had seen at least one of the colors knitted before purchase. It would have helped to see the repeat- it is very even.
