Plymouth Royal Bamboo
Bamboo yarn was introduced last year by several companies. Once considered an exotic fiber, it has definitely found its place in the mainstream. Royal Bamboo is soft, lightweight and has a beautiful sheen as some of it's obvious features. The fact that bamboo is a renewable resource, naturally non-allergenic and cool to the touch makes it just that much better.

not colorfast!

I used a bright multi version of this yarn as a lace edging around a pastel yellow sweater for my granddaughter. When I washed it (in a basin with lukewarm water) the reds and blues ran and ruined the nearby yellow of the main body. I was devastated! Watch out!

This is one of the nicest bamboo yarns I have seen. The sheen is gorgeous and the texture is like silk. However, I found it VERY slippery to work with. It is also surprisingly heavy and stretchy.
