Reynolds Harvest Tweed

Some yarns are just destined to become classics and we think this is one of them. Harvest Tweed is a wonderful blend of wool, mohair and acrylic/nylon. It is soft to the touch and is offered in six great colors. The colorations are achieved by plying the wool component with a coordinating strand of mohair and the acrylic/nylon.  Made in Italy.

      Comments about Reynolds Harvest Tweed:

I crocheted a shawl for a co-worker using the crocodile stitch which takes a lot of yarn to make. I am almost finished with it and it worked up really fast and its beautiful although heavy. I had to rip out quite a few stitches and the yarn snapped,so there is very little elasticity otherwise I had no problems. I would probably use this again for a cowl or gloves, hat scarves etc.

        Comments about Reynolds Harvest Tweed:

Very happy with this yarn. I bought it for use in a sweater and it's knitting up beautifully. I love the subtle color changes and the texture of this yarn. I can't really comment on how much it will stretch or the yarn's durability, but my test swatch got much softer after wet blocking which was a nice surprise.

I'm not sure I would call it a bulky, more like a heavy worsted in my hands, but not a deal breaker for me.

Overall, very satisfied and a steal at the closeout price.

          Comments about Reynolds Harvest Tweed:

I was looking for a yarn that was soft, durable, and quality to make an afghan. This is to be a wedding gift for my son and his bride, so I wanted it to be very special. I found it in this beautiful yarn! Very nice to work with, the colors are rich, and the yarn is soft as well as substantial. It may be a little more expensive than some other yarns, even on sale, but I feel the product is well worth it.

            Comments about Reynolds Harvest Tweed:

After using this yarn for the first time I went back and bought all of the different colors. I use it to make scarves and find that the end product is always extremely soft and cozy. The yarn knits very quickly and I find it fairly easy to go back and correct my mistakes. It is just beautiful to work with.

I bought 10 balls of this yarn after I read the customer reviews and saw the price. It is such a pleasure to work with, it totally lived up to my expectations. I have used it for hats and wrist warmies......not sure how they will stand up to wear yet but they look and feel great.

What a wonderful alternative to the self-striping yarns. The sweater I am working on looks so elegant and expensive. I just hope they introduce more colors. The yarn looks like it would split but it doesn't. The stitches glide off the needles.

I love this yarn. It knits up easy and has a lovely feel. Just the right amount of mohair for us who love that look. It is not very bulky and makes a nice sweater that is not too heavy.

Beautiful yarn that is soft for a tweedy look, and is very easy to work with. Knits up wonderfully. I have knit scarves with 04 (Rose), 06 (Blue), and 07 (Gold/Green/Red). Loved them all!
