I bought this yarn for a Craftsy class "Top Down Icelandic Sweater". I wanted other colors than those offered for sale with the class. Webs offered plenty of colors. And when buying the amount needed for the sweater it came along with a fantastic discount. I saved over $15.00! It was also shipped very quickly for free. I will be back for more and highly recommend this company. No regrets!

I thought I would have problems knitting with this highly textured wool. I didn't have any at all. Frogging out stitches to fix a row or two did take a little finessing, but it wasn't the hardest I have come across. One plus to the wool is that when my needles slipped out of about 15/20 stitches, it was really easy to pick them back up. They didn't run at all, they just sat there waiting for me to notice.

After washing and blocking, the sweater really softened up a lot. Don't get me wrong, you won't get this confused with Merino. It isn't that soft, but it doesn't feel like a relative to Brillo anymore. I have heard from others that each wash will continue to soften it up.

The colorwork with this yarn is really nice and even. I was very happy that it turned out as nice as it did. I am now on my second sweater and loving this yarn even more. It is also really easy to spit splice and so I have almost no yarn ends to weave in.

My First Icelandic Sweater

I used this to make an Icelandic sweater. I liked that it is true Icelandic wool. There were some breaks in the wool and the join was not well done.

      Comments about Lttlopi (Lite Lopi):

This thread is very unevenly spun and had wood chips and dirt stuck in it, so it either stabbed me or broke while I was working with it.

I am using this to knit an Icelandic sweater. The yarn is warm, cozy, and knits up beautifully! The colors are beautifully dyed and look fantastic together. It is a little itchy, but I am told that it will soften up after blocking.

              Quite scratchy

              Comments about Lttlopi (Lite Lopi):

This yarn was a lot more scratchy and coarse than I anticipated. I didn't buy it for a specific project, but thought I might make a hat or mittens. Maybe it will become less scratchy with washing, but I don't think I want to make a garment from it. Most likely will make a tea cosy or felting project.
