Rowan Tweed Aran

Spun in one of the UK's last textile mills, Rowan Tweed Aran is a soft, traditional tweed made of 100% wool. The beautiful natural tones and rich colors are enhanced by bright flecks of tweed. Tweed Aran is the worsted-weight big sibling of Rowan Tweed and Rowan Fine Tweed, in the same great colorways. Made in UK.

Pros

    Cons

    • A lot of knots
    • Yarn Breakage

      Comments about Rowan Tweed Aran:

I knitted an entire sweater. As I was knitting a hood together with the Kitchener stitch the yarn frayed and had to knot to proceed. This happened in several other places which I could work, but the hood was not easy. In addition each skein had several breaks where it was knotted together. Lots of ends to manage.
      Not happy!

            Comments about Rowan Tweed Aran:

I am knitting the Rowan Gwendoline sweater and this yarn is just beautiful to work with. It's a single ply tweed, and you need to take care if you need to rip as it can break. But this yarn has a wonderful hand with a lot of body and I would definitely use it again.
