    Rowan Felted Tweed Aran

Rowan Felted Tweed Aran is a surprisingly soft tweed. Tweeds are super popular right now, and this one does not disappoint. When knit, Felted Tweed Aran has a slightly felted appearance, which creates beautiful, soft textures.  Made in Italy.

Comments about Rowan Felted Tweed Aran:

I must agree with the other reviewer with regard to the color Cherry--it is NOTHING like the deep red in the picture, much more a rust. Even the flecks pictured in the yarn are different colors than what is shown.

Combine the disappointing color with the awful feel and I felt I had a yarn I wouldn't even give to another knitter. Surprising let-down from a company like Rowan!

Comments about Rowan Felted Tweed Aran:

I love donegal tweed yarns and I am always looking for that
"perfect" one. This isn't it though it comes close. I wish they had a greater range of colors in the aran weight, I purchased cherry and its lovely but i really wanted a brick/blood red. The yarn is expertly spun, there are no snags and it does not come apart. Its VERY sturdy yarn. It will make a super warm winter sweater. I had purchased 3 skeins to make a simple cardigan for a 6 month old but I am not sure if they texture is good for a baby. I might buy more to knit an adult sweater....
I think that if this yarn had 15-20% angora it would be the perfect donegal. Its rather expensive, the discount helps of course but its still hard for me to buy yarn that is this much for only 50g
