Comments about Plymouth Yarn 24K:
This yarn is fun to look at once it is worked up but it is very smooth and is impossible to use from ball form. I wound it onto firm cardboard with slits to hold the ends. Be careful of the yarn slipping off the board.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn 24K:
i used this product and added it to the eros II to add a little more glamour. It's wonderful and i love using it along with the eros and whatever else I can think of to add it too!
The only drawback to it is it won't stay in a ball, so you have to winde it around a piece of cardboard or something similar. It's very flimsie in nature but that's what makes it good for scarves etc.

I was making hats/scarves and needed a glittery gold yarn in a 3 or 4. While difficult to handle, it worked up beautifully.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn 24K:
This yarn is perfect for making a showcase top -- like something to wear on a special night out. It produces a glamorous effect. As a novelty yarn it is georgous -- not itchy so can be worn next to the skin. I will be making tank tops and blouses with this. The only drawback is the slipperiness of it - the best way to roll into skeins is to roll it around something -- such as a paper towel tube. This will prevent slipping and knotting.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn 24K:
Took me 3 hours to wind 5 hanks. Yarn is so slippery it kept falling off itself on the winder. To keep it from tangling, I cut the corner of a ziplock bag and fed it out the hole. Lots of joins

Comments about Plymouth Yarn 24K:
I love the texture and color of this yarn. It even makes soft and cuddly amigurumi. However, it does stretch too easily so it wouldn't really be good for something like a purse or anything that is used frequently. Since I was making a collectable stuffed animal, it isn't touched very often and is more for "show" than anything. It took me about 6 hours to untangle this yarn and rewind it on a skein that wouldn't become tangled.
It was not even close to one continuous piece of yarn on the skein, I had about 6 different pieces. This was fine for my project because I crocheted the parts of the amigurumi separate and sewed them together BUT for a project which isn't made up of multiple pieces, this might be a problem.
Overall, the yarn is a bit too expensive for all the trouble it causes, but it worked perfectly for my "showcase" amigurumi. It's a very specialized type of yarn that I feel only fits a small window of options for crocheters/knitters.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn 24K:
I bought this to crochet a scarf. The pattern used this particular yarn. It is impossible to keep this yarn from tangling. It also snags very easily. I would not buy this yarn again, although the scarf is indeed very nice.
