I got this yarn because of the price and the high rating on WEBS and ravelry, I was pretty disappointed by the scratchiness of the yarn. I wouldn't recommend this anyone, unless you don't need it to be soft. Then it's fine and there's a decent amount of yardage.

    Comments about St-Denis Boreale:

The yarn was fine - evenly, no knots or problems. Not the softest I've ever felt, but not the scratchiest. I'd probably use it again but wouldn't necessarily run a mile for it.

Used to to make a sweater with a lace panel, worked great for that.

      Comments about St-Denis Boreale:

This is a fingering weight yarn, which is great for lacy shawls, lightweight scarves, and colorwork. The "Blossom" colorway is the perfect shade of pink for my tastes, and I plan to knit up my balls of this yarn into many lacy shawls. Very good yardage for the price as well. Very sad it has been discontinued.

I love this yarn, I wish it weren't being discontinued! It's not merino-soft, but still comfortable for next-to-skin wear, and I love the sturdy texture. The only con I've experienced is the way it's wound- the balls look nice, but it's often very hard to find the center!

I am knitting a fitted cardigan with twisted rib shapings. I like the challenge of knitting with thin yarn occasionally.

Love this yarn. I love knitting with wool that feels like wool. Softens a lot over time when washed in quality wool washes. I am tempted to hoard this yarn... the colors are interesting- bold or subtle. not many inbetweens.

I bought this to make a specific pattern, but it was too tightly twisted and bouncy for that particular pattern. I used it in a different pattern, and the scarf I made is gorgeous, drapes beautifully, and is a vibrant color!
