Used for a pullover sweater. A little rough and scratchy so will need to wear turtleneck underneath.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Tara Tweed:
I really like this yarn and how it turns out looking. I like using tweed type yarns to give plush toys a more vintage look. This one works well but has a tendency to break which then you have to tie the yarn back together to continue. It especially breaks during seaming.

used this in one of their patterns-love working with it, love how it knits up-great stitch definition and super soft. I paid full price for the yarn and pattern and have yet to have a twinge of regret!

Comments about Tahki Yarns Tara Tweed:
I'm using this in a sweater that needed a tweed of this gauge with four colors available here. This yarn is completely non-scratchy, good for a wool. It is very loosely plied or spun, making it weaker, and less bouncy or elastic than one might be used to before it is knitted.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Tara Tweed:
I needed a tweed that knitted to this gauge. I agree that there is not a lot of springiness, but for a cabled drapey sweater it was great. Showed cables and bobbles beautifully. Garment has a nice structure and drape to it. Yarn is very soft next to skin. Would buy this again and love the colors. Looks good in a variety of gauges. Definitely not springey, but light for a tweed. Very comfortable.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Tara Tweed:
A tweed yarn that would make a beautiful garment with a raw silk-like feel. Has a light weight feel to it. Tweed flecks are spun well into the fibers.
Comments about Tahki Yarns Tara Tweed:
I'm terribly disappointed with this yarn. I purchased it to make a hat, and within the first couple of rows I could tell it wasn't going to work. Barely any spring, and I knew as soon as it would be put on it would stretch out and not spring back. :(
