Everybody loves the flecks. It really add pizazz to the yarn and makes the donegal tweed interesting to knit with.
I am knitting a sweater and have used 4 skeins so far. There is everything to like and nothing to dislike about this yarn. There no knots in the middle of the skein. The yarn holds up after ripping out. The texture is interesting and easy to knit with, a bit crunchy with strands that unevenly thick and thin. Best of all, it's got orange and purple flecks!

Comments about Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed:
If you want a soft, cuddly yarn, this isn't it. As indicated above, this is a typical Donegal tweed and so wouldn't wear it next to the skin. However, it presents cables and other decorative stitches in great detail.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed:
I am making a pullover sweater with a fair isle pattern on the yoke and bottom of sleeves from tahki stacy charles. It is called Yoke Pullover and is a free pattern. My grandmother is from Ireland so I love using a yarn from there. It is very easy to work although the pattern on the sweater is presenting me with a few challenges.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed:
I haven't had time to knit this up yet but I purchased it to make the "Central Park Hoodie" from Interweave that is so popular on Ravelry. Thousands have been knit and that many people can't be wrong! I'm looking forward to knitting the project. The color is perfect and the yarn is soft but substantial. I think I'll really like the finished product.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed:
I knit a Cables & Lace Tunic in 8 days with a little over 8 skeins. Everything is good about the 100% wool. I can live with the twisting up as it wasn't that bad.
After knitting the tunic, I ordered 10 more skeins to knit a cardigan for me!

Use at least size 10 needles. Not good for children as it can feel scratchy. Does knit up quickly

I knitted the Central Park Hoodie for my
daughter. She wears it everywhere. Especially
found the sweater useful for nights while
camping.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed:
I love this yarn for garments knit on larger needles. The band recommends size 8 needles but I use 10-11 and find the finished product to be very soft and interesting.
