Comments about Trekking XXL:
I wanted to make a shawl for my Mom for her birthday. The yarn is nice and stretchy, and the color is very nice. But the texture is a bit rougher and scratchier than I was expecting. I suppose that's OK for a shawl, since it will be worn over clothes.
Service and delivery comments:

Comments about Trekking XXL:
Trekking XXL has gorgeous colors, patterns that work up as if by magic (and make daily sock making that much more fun), a beautiful hand, terrific stitch definition, colors that are stable despite repeated washing, spin and staple qualities that ensure springiness and dimensional retention...it's a wonderful yarn.
Having said all that, and having made hundreds of pairs of socks, I still consider Trekking XXL (and Opal) to be a bit lower on my list of favorites than Regia, many OnLine Supersocke, Austermann STEP, Schoppel Wolle, Fortissima....
Why? I have no idea. The difference is that subtle and personal! So if you're new to sock making, you won't go wrong with this yarn. Just make sure you look up the color online to see how it looks worked up, and make sure that the color patterning/repeats will allow you to make two matching socks from one ball, if that is what fits your budget.
Budget shoppers can also choose to work the footie/cuff/heel/toe of a sock in different complementary colors/yarns. Footies and cuffs and heels and toes don't have to be the same color.

Comments about Trekking XXL:
A dream to work with for my 1st pair of socks. DH loves the feel of the wool & wears them right after they come out of the wash...and since I wash them inside-out, he often puts them on that way since the purl-side looks good too! I will use this yarn for another pair but for ME!
Color was true to picture.

Comments about Trekking XXL:
This is one of my favorite brands of yarn- it's wonderful to work with. My socks seem to last forever and the color selection is fantastic. I throw them in the washer and dryer- inside out- as I have enough socks so that the rotation isn't weekly (more like monthly).
Comments about Trekking XXL:
I've knitted hundreds of socks and this is one of the best yarns I've used. It's soft and nice to work with and wears like nothing else except maybe Regia. I've knitted about 10 pairs of socks with it, two pairs for a man who has worn them weekly over two years -- no holes yet. (I did reinforce the toe of course.) The two pairs I've made for myself, unreinforced, are only starting to show wear after 3-4 years of weekly wear and walking 30m to work. I recommend washing them inside out and hanging to dry to keep them looking their best.
Comments about Trekking XXL:
Trekking is a pleasure to work with, and wears like iron.
