Comments about Universal Yarn Pace:
Other than the price, I cannot think of anything positive about this yarn. It is coarse, not "springy", and smells like cigarette smoke. I had 3/4 of a sock knitted and just did not like it. Although the amount of money lost is minimal, I hate waste and that is what this yarn is.

Comments about Universal Yarn Pace:
I made knee socks with a one stitch cable--very tedious and I made lots of mistakes (because I wasn't paying attention!). It's hard to pick up this yarn after ripping out rows. It feels a bit "wirey", but that might wash out. I haven't worn them because I finished them in spring.

Comments about Universal Yarn Pace:
I bought 3 skeins to dye for me and for a swap partner. It dyed perfectly. My only disappointment with it is that is wasn't soft at all. I didn't expect merino soft, but this was just not soft.

Comments about Universal Yarn Pace:
This is a close-out yarn so I am not sure how usecul my review is. The yarn feels "nylon-y" in the hand but makes a nice fabric on 3mm needles that does NOT feel "nylon-y". It makes a nice fabric that will make good gloves. The gloves should be good for daily 3-season wear in a RI or MA climate. They probably wouldn't be warm enough for Chicago or Wisconsin or Montana. The yarn crocks a bit of dye. My fingernails and bamboo needles turn black from the yarn. I find it a bit splitty when I am doing M1R but otherwise have no complaints here. The final gloves will be gifts so I don't think I will know how tge fabric stands up for long-term use. One skein makes a pair of adult gloves. I bought two skeins & expect to make three pair of gloves.

Comments about Universal Yarn Pace:
Was going to make socks out of this yarn. But, it isn't soft at all. I will save it for .... not sure what.
Comments about Universal Yarn Pace:
The heather coloration drew me in and I like it but....if you drop stitches or need to tink back the long fibers and splitting make it a challenge. I'm working with size 0 needles. I'm not having a problem with splitting while knitting, just if I have to go back. For the price I'll suck it up.
