Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont:
I originally bought some Charlemont to coordinate with four colors of another yarn in weaving a tartan stole, so the weight, shape and color had to be exactly right. This is lovely stuff: high quality, good sheen, rich color and wonderful yardage for the price, as well as being strong enough for warp. I had a hank left over from the weaving project and have purchased more so I can knit something with it! Can tell it will have great stitch definition, too.

A very nice yarn. I'm knitting a shawl with it and it's wonderful. Shows the textural stitches very well. Has good stitch definition.

Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont:
A beautiful silky soft yarn, nice for light weight projects. My only complaints is that it seems to pretty easily "catch" on itself and that it's a cat hair magnet (although really what yarn isn't?). Very happy with it!

I am using this yarn to crochet a suit jacket and skirt. I have the jacket back about half finished. I love the hand of the worked yarn and the color is very deep and rich. I have not had any problems with tangles or breakage. I am using a half_double crochet and the stitches are very smooth and even. I look forward to posting a picture of the finished suit.

Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont:
The color was very pretty , but this was sent from another country so the skein was wrapped differently than what I am used to , and it tangled up and it took me a couple of days to untangle and rewind by hand. Other than that I lived this particular skein of yarn and would order again.

I am using this yarn to knit a shawl. Love the generous yardage on each hank and no knotted splices when I used the ball winder. The color is rich and even.

Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont:
I bought this yarn to make myself a shawl, my second attempt at knitting lace from a chart. I require a fully engaged brain to succeed at such an activity, so it was good that I didn't have to also cope with yarn that misbehaved. I found my Charlemont very easy to knit, it didn't split excessively and the colour is lovely, although when I soaked the shawl at the finish, quite a lot of colour ran out.

Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont:
I love the yarn--it's soft, not splitty, and great for socks. BUT the Soft Grape doesn't look anything like the color shown on the website. I wish I knew if the other colors were true to those shown on the website.

Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont:
This is a great yarn! Deep rich color choices. I've used it for scarves - very soft, holds a lacy pattern nicely, light weight but still warm. In a sweater it works up nicely and feels great. Great price point as well!
