Comments about Valley Yarns Greenwich:
I also bought this to use for hat experiments, since I needed many colors to learn fair isle technique. The Spring Leaf and Blue Mist are okay, lofty and not too scratchy though loosely plied. The Forest, Navy and Teal are stiff, thin, loosely plied and generally not very nice. Won't order this again, even for the price.
Pros
- good color
- Ok yardage
Cons
- Too itchy
Best Uses
- Accessories
Comments about Valley Yarns Greenwich:
I bought a few skeins of this yarn to make wristbands for my husband and myself, possibly something for my baby if I had enough left over. While the colors look nice for what I wanted, the feel of the yarn is much too scratchy for a baby. It will be ok for accessories, but I wouldn't rate it as the best or the most comfortable.
Pros
- Knits up like Mal worsted
Cons
Best Uses
- Hats scarves anything
Comments about Valley Yarns Greenwich:
Boy was I surprised when I started knitting with this yarn. I bought it for hat "experiments", but found I like it better than Malabrigo worsted - and it won't have the same tendency to pill.
Pros
- Compares with Mal worsted
- Great for hats scarves
- Work horse
Cons
Best Uses
- Anything
Comments about Valley Yarns Greenwich:
I bought this yarn for hat "experiments" - however, it's just beautiful when knit up and compares to Malabrigo worsted - only better! This yarn doesn't have the tendency to pill like Mal does. What a find!
