Truly good wool, exceptional value

I hesitate to buy 'house brands', especially those spun in Latin America. Too little quality control and too much inconsistency.
Not so with this light worsted. I ordered twenty skeins in Forest Green, mostly for the price and the color. Just to know what I was getting into, I rewound a skein - no knots, no fraying, no variations in the pigment and a smooth, even twist throughout. I did notice a couple of thin spots, but only because I was really looking for them. The difference was minimal and certainly not enough to negatively impact the finished fabric.
I hand washed a swatch in cool water with a no-rinse cleanser and detected no bleeding, and it blocked beautifully. It is also surprisingly soft for a 'workhorse' wool - an added bonus.
Whoever is producing this for Webs got it right; an exceptional value for this quality and selection.
