This is a good, basic worsted wool. Easy to handle, and lovely colors.
Lovely yarn!

I've just started working with some Stockbridge I had in my stash, and am loving working with it. As I began my small project, I thought I'd like to make a sweater with it, and then I realized that it would also be a great substitute for another yarn that I've always liked (an much more affordable)! ;)
Stockbridge is my preferred..

Stockbridge is my preferred yarn for just about everything -just the right weight for sweaters and jackets, good saturated colours (just wish there were more of them) so excellent for colour work, wears well, and a pleasure to hold when knitting because it is so soft.
great yarn for the price

Great to knit with -- springy and soft, and wears pretty well. I have a three-year-old vest that shows no pilling at all. It is a bit on the scratchy side, but I'm a delicate flower. I've used both dark red and charcoal and the colors are deep and saturated -- very nice. The alpaca gives it a slightly fuzzy halo effect. Nice yarn.

Used for basic, plain constructed sweater. Good drape. Doesn't split. A big plus in my book. Alpaca makes it special.
