Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
For the most part I am not a huge fan of 100% cottons.. I find them very heavy. However, I HIGHLY recommend this yarn. It is extremely soft, lighter than most worsted weight 100% cottons & comes in lovely colors. I hear some have had problems with it being "splitty" I find that if you take your time with it, it is just fine.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
Pleasantly surprised when this yarn arrived, nice and soft but sturdy, knitting up great (and holds up well to repeated frogging). I would say this is more a DK weight than a worsted though, it's thinner than I was expecting (and I needed a size 5 needle instead of the 8 recommended).

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
I have made three baby blankets using this yarn as well as two baby hats and a pair of socks. It is soft while you are working with it and gets even softer after washing. I now consider it my "go-to" yarn when I need to make a baby item. I made a test swatch which I now use as a dishcloth and I am amazed at how well that swatch has held up to both washing the dishes as well as multiple trips through the washer and dryer. I am confident that it will hold up well as a well-loved blanket which might require lots of time in the washer!

I used this for crochet motifs for a large bag I am assembling. I did not encounter knots in the 11 skeins I used but it is a bit splitty. However the yarn is so soft and nice to work with.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
I knew precisely what color I wanted and was thrilled to find a good, sturdy yarn in what looked to be that orange. I'm making a sweater vest for my *male* baby cousin. I made sure to check the color on multiple monitors before buying, since I know every monitor is different. It looked the same on every monitor- orange. I received the yarn in the mail and was very disappointed to find that the yarn is peach! It would have worked great for a baby girl, but not a baby boy.
Thankfully, a bit of elbow grease and a bottle of orange RIT dye corrected the issue. The overdying was perfect and a short soak was all that was needed. All 5 skeins dyed evenly and beautifully.
The yarn is knitting up fantastically, it shows off cables well and is very soft. It also seems to be durable. End of story, I Ike everything about it but the color.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
This is more like a light weigth worsted. I had to go down to a smaller needle and then got 5 sts to the inch to get nice density to it. I also had about 2 knots per ball. It feels soft just what I wanted for a baby blanket.
Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
This yarn is very soft but splits terribly. In addition to the knots I frequently had to cut and rejoin around split and fraying areas. I can't believe this would hold up in a washing machine.
Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
This is a wonderfully soft yarn that knitts beautifully -- really a pleasure. BUT there are way too many knots. I can accept one per skein but three???
Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:
Made a baby afghan and it was fantastic to knit with and soft, soft, soft.
