I made a beaded scarf with this yarn. The beads travelled on the yarn because the yarn is too "slippery." Definitely not for beading. This yarn provides stitch definition and does not hide mistakes. That said, this is beautiful yarn: it provides a gorgeous sheen to the finished ite.

I'm using this yarn to knit a summer sweater from a Rowan pattern that called for a wool/cotton and I'm pleasantly surprised by how evenly it knits.

The texture is soft and it doesn't unravel whatsoever, as mercerized cottons usually do.

Overall it's a great quality yarn and the finished result is better than I expected.

I am just finishing up a baby sweater for a gift in Rowan's Sienna and I really loved this yarn. It knit up very quickly, is soft and consistent throughout, and as others noted, it has a slight sheen finish which makes the sweater look slightly more elegant and special. It makes me happy to think it might go on the child on a special occasion!

The yarn quality is fantastic and the finish has a slight sheen to it that makes the finished product more elegant.
I was disappointed by the color, though. The photo on the site shows "Sloe" as more of a plum color, but the yarn is actually a light purple, more like a grape/lavender with a bluish rather than pinkish hue. It's a nice color, just not what I expected.

This yarn has a slight sheen to it and is a delight to work with. I made a baby sweater out of it, and I had no problems with slubs, defects or broken strands of yarn. Only one ball even had a break in the yarn with a knot. Very nice and worth the price!
