Even though I called WEBS with some color questions, I am really disappointed in the colors. I was going to use Hay and Denim to make a summer baby vest. When I got them, the Hay had a yellow cast when I wanted a real khaki/beige. The Denim has a very purple strand in the mix and looked terrible with the Hay, so I had to run out and buy some dark blue cotton for the vest (Louisa Harding Jesse). The yarn is nice, though not as soft as other cotton I've used. And of course, it's a little splitty.

    Comments about Louisa Harding Ondine:

I am going to use this for a lacey shawl-collared wrap. It has just the right touch of casualness and ability to show the textured stitches that I am looking for.

    Comments about Louisa Harding Ondine:

I bought the color "Driftwood" on a whim over a year ago to make a shawl. I was entranced with marbled color, and it was a shade of tan grey I really hadn't seen before. Knitting it up, it drapes beautifully even unblocked, but has a tendency to unravel and split if you have to frog or tink back and knit again a few times. I found it difficult to go back and fix mistakes. Despite this, I've finished the shawl and found myself equally entranced with my recent order for "Bark" and the yellow and green that have been marbled into it.

      Comments about Louisa Harding Ondine:

Love the way the variegated yarn knits up as a tweed! Need to take care and use blunter tip needles as the yarn is fairly loosely spun. Reel can come undone about halfway through so can be a bit of a nuisance. Looking forward to wearing it as a summer sweater. Used Kirsten Hipsky? midnight starry sky pattern and did stockinette rather than garter stitch.

              Comments about Louisa Harding Ondine:

I am knitting a summer sweater with this yarn. The color is gorgeous (Sail) an exquisite ocean-y mix of blues and lavenders. And the yarn is smooth and lovely to knit with. It seems to give more than many cottons do. My only gripe (and it's small) is that you have to be careful not to accidentally split the plys. In other words, this isn't yarn for knitting in a movie theatre. Other than that, I highly recommend it. I would definitely knit with this again.
