Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend Space Dyed
Manos Silk Blend Space Dyed is a luxurious blend of 30% silk and 70% extrafine merino. The colors that Manos combines are beautiful and will add to whatever project you use this yarn for. Manos Silk Blend Space Dyed is incredibly soft and the silk adds a slight sheen.
Hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbleized, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colors. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. Colors may vary greatly.
We recommend buying enough yarn to complete a project. If there is great difference between skeins, we recommend working two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect. Made in Uruguay.

The silk mix makes this yarn head above shoulders to many others. The stitch definition is just beautiful, and it drapes so beautifully you'll want to re-knit all your sweaters from this. My son chose this particular yarn for a scarf without any other understanding of the 'science of fibers', solely based on the feel of it. Whatever you make out of this, will become a cherished heirloom. I haven't washed it yet, so can't really comment on that. It airs out well in brisk moist air, and holds its shape well.

I'm making a mobius shawl with this. It holds up well as I cart it around. Although it's multi-colored, I'm using a very simple lace pattern on garter stitch background. Great stitch definition.
Doesn't stripe. Color pooling is about 3 rows (not ridges... rows) and with the multiple colors, it doesn't look strange.
