Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia

A beautiful blend of merino and silk, Classic Elite Magnolia has a slightly heathered appearance because the two fibers take the dye differently. The gentle sheen really makes your stitch patterns pop.  Made in Italy.

I love this yarn for it's sheen, softness and handspun look. It did have a few areas that were too loosely spun and the warp threads tended to fuzz. However, the end product, scarves, were marvelous and I would purchase again. It's probably not really meant to be a warp yarn, but it can work as such with a little patience and care.

I bought this yarn to knit a shawl. It has a light sheen due to the silk content, and suits 'next to skin' wear as it is very soft. I was disappointed with the intermittent lumps, (which may be loose splices?). The shawl I am knitting has a large stockinet section and the thicker spots of yarn caused by the splices are a little obvious. I would use this yarn again, but not in smooth garments.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia:

I have knitted a shawl out of it recently and it looks and feels wonderful. The yarn is very soft with lovely delicate sheen. It doesn't agree with much frogging, though.
The colours, I have bought a few, are gorgeous, bit different from the pictures. It has good yardage and I really like it.

        Service and delivery comments:

Customer services are fantastic! I love the live chat feature, very helpful especially if you live far away like I do. I have been buying from WEBS for a few years now and I have never been disappointed! Great shop!

This is a great yarn for detail work. Beautiful sheen and dye. There are a few spots in the strand that will randomly be thicker but when knitted it still looks great.

I obtained this yarn to create a cowl, and to have something that I could work on while waiting for appointments.

This yarn is so soft, smooth and supple that I cannot recommend it too highly.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia:

This is a gloriously soft yet strong yarn which is like heaven on the fingers. The colour is rich and subtle. I'm thrilled that it comes in a ball rather than in a skein -- so I can start knitting right away.

There are no negatives about this yarn.
