Comments about Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds DK Undyed:
I have made Kilt hose and gloves out of this yarn, Although not for everyday, heavy duty wear-the kilt hose are lusciously soft and shows the stitch definiton nicely. And they are nice and warm too! It has a silky hand that makes working with this yarn a pleasure. My only complaint about it is that is rather softly plied (which could be problematic for some)I had my doubts about using this yarn for a pair of kilt hose because of this issue-but the hose knit up well, showing the stitch pattern beautifully-the finished hose just begs to be worn!

Comments about Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds DK Undyed:
Thank goodness all sheep aren't merinos---if I had to pick one yarn to knit exclusively with for the rest of my life, it would have to be the brown blue faced Leicester. In some lights it's more silvery gray, sometimes more brown, all with a sheen---great resistance to pilling but still a soft yarn. This is not what you get with dyed or heathered brown yarns, the sheep made this color!

Comments about Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds DK Undyed:
I love this yarn. I've completed about eight inches of a cardigan, and being impatient I slipped it on to waste yarn and wet-blocked it, just to see what would happen. The blocked yarn feels feather-light and softened considerably. (It also gained about an inch in width, and about a half inch in length.) This is a yarn for the wool purist. It feels like you're knitting straight off the sheep's back. It can also be a wee bit splitty, I'm finding, but not if you knit with a little care.

Comments about Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds DK Undyed:
I made a beautiful turtle neck sweater with this yarn. The all over cable pattern came out just great. I love the natural color of this yarn.
The only thing I noticed was that the yardage was off. It seems the balls might be short?
I would use this yarn again.
