Hemp is an incredible plant fiber that is valued for its strength and durability. Hemp won’t wear out, rather it will wear in—getting better with age. It will retain color better than any other fiber, including cotton due to its porous nature, which also allows the fiber to breath. Blended with cotton and modal, Hempathy is a slightly textured yarn that is a WEBS favorite. Made in Italy.

I purchased this thread to design my husband some Doo-rags. They came out beautifully. One ball per rag. I enjoyed using this thread and it crocheted up very quickly.

Durable Wash Cloth- Combine with Cotton

              Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy:

I wanted to experiment with making a very durable dish cloth/wash cloth. I combined it with a boucle type cotton. I was happy with the results and chose a lavender color. Combined with our local Felton hand made lavender soap, I enjoy treating myself to an evening bath.
I wish there was more yardage, and I did not find the price as economical as I would like.
I am going to try the new Martha Stewardt cotton/hemp combo from Lion Brand and see how it
compares. I would like to see more cotton/hemp being distributed as I feel like the hemp with add strength to any lighter weight fiber and help the finished project body. Looking forward to the price coming down and/or the yardage being increased. Keep an eye out for sales on this fiber.

              Lovely.

              Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy:

I made a pair of "Geisha" socks (Knitted Socks East and West). So far, they are holding up really well, haven't blown out the heals yet, so I think this is a good sock yarn! I also made a swatch of "I do" diamond lace (A Knitting Wrapsody) and it came out beautifully. I believe it would have a lovely drape. Thinking of new uses for this lovely, linen-like, slub-free fiber.
