Comments about Rowan Denim:
I ordered Rowan denim 229 for cardigan. Didn't have enough so place another order for same project not same dye lot so was expecting slightly different colour but not what I got...my second order of rowan denim 229 came in with completely different quality of yarn. Bad quality went from at least 10 twisted shinny smooth rich blue in first purchase to 5strands of yucky too much white in it poor twist not dark blue at all yarn. The fact that the quality differed to such an extent i had to frog my cardigan and probably will never buy this yarn again online only on a store where I could actually see what I was buying. Very disappointed.

Comments about Rowan Denim:
This is the most awful yarn i have ever used. It bled on my hands while crocheting with it. I am very disappointed for the price. Would never buy again!!!

Comments about Rowan Denim:
The yarn is fine but the color is completly different than pictured. I thought I was getting a dark blue jean and this is a light baby blue. I kept the yarn but was disappointed in the color.

Comments about Rowan Denim:
I was looking forward to this yarn. Was only 4-6 rows into a small sample and my fingertips were stained with blue dye. Unfortunate/unhealthy. Otherwise, the yarn had a lovely feel.

Comments about Rowan Denim:
I bought 4 balls of Rowan Denim #225 after hearing good things about it on Eunny Jang's blog. When I started Knitty's cabled Shedir hat pattern with it, I was amazed at how durable this yarn is! At first, it feels a bit funny in your hands (and it turned my bamboo needles a little blue), but once your project is done you just stick it in the wash, and voila! A soft, stretchy, comfy knit piece comes out. FYI - I purposely put the finished hat through the ringer--hot wash and sturdy dry--to mimic Eunny's fading detail on the ridges of the cables, and it came out better than I thought it would. Even the shrinking detail disclosed on the label came out perfectly. I'd recommend this yarn to anyone looking for a comfy but sturdy washable fabric.

This is my new favorite yarn!
Comments about Rowan Denim:
I love this yarn. My sweater is amazingly soft. Follow directions for shrinkage. I've now bought the white yarn and hope they add more colors.
Comments about Rowan Denim:
The yarn wears and washes beautifully. Follow the label for shrinkage. Shrinks in length only. It's a better fabric after washing. Some fading. Comfortable as that favorite old tee shirt! Highly recommend denim and can't wait to knit 2nd sweater in a lighter blue.. Enjoy!

Merchant response: It's possible for some yarns to have a little more dye applied to them than necessary. This can cause some of the dye to rub off onto your hands. It should wash off with simple soap and water.
