On the one hand, I love the colors (Stewart Island and Southland) of the socks I knitted from this yarn. And yes, they are soft. However the socks bag worse than any other pair I've made and, despite the fact that they are only handwashed, the yarn has gotten fuzzy and pilly very quickly. In other words, the yarn does not wear well. Kind of a disappointment and a reason not to use the yarn again.

Comments about Berroco Comfort Sock:
I bought this yarn to make socks for my sister-in-law who is unable to wear anything with wool in it. I was surprised to find this yarn knit up almost as easily as the wool blend yarn I usually use to make socks.

Comments about Berroco Comfort Sock:
I crank socks on an antique circular sock machine and love Comfort sock yarn for my customers who can't wear wool - they get the same fun designs and colors that the wool sock yarns come in.

Comments about Berroco Comfort Sock:
I have used this yarn to knit myself a pair of socks, to crochet a pair of booties for my 1 year old, to crochet a hat, and to knit arm warmers. The color changes are awesome. I had never knit socks before, so the occasional mistake is practically invisible. I highly recommend this yarn. I have four of the colors. They are all great.

Comments about Berroco Comfort Sock:
I made socks with this yarn for a friend. Now, I prefer wool for all socks, but this was an experiment. The yarn is soooo soft, knits like a dream, and these socks will be pure luxury on the feet. Although I'm still a fiber snob, this acrylic yarn has a definite place in my stash.
