Comments about Araucania Panguipulli:
The color is fantastic - I got the #6, which is a tweedy blend of copper, brown, plum and this funny grayish-bluish-purpley color.
Two hanks ended up being perfect for a scarf, which I crocheted in a waffle pattern; it ended up about 6" wide by 5' long using an H hook.
I agree with the others who say it's not a heavy worsted - it's worsted and, for reference, is very slightly finer than Red Heart Super Saver yarn.
I didn't have any breaks in the yarn and the weight was consistent throughout. I also didn't experience the dye coming off in my hands the way another reviewer did. It's very easy to see what you're working on. It does split, though most multi-ply yarns can/do, and I didn't have it unravel - compared to many yarns I've worked with, it was pretty low-maintenance.
My big disappointment is that it's not quite as cuddly as I was expecting to get with a 100% merino yarn. I wouldn't say it's not soft - it's not at all scratchy - it's just a shade stiffer than I would have liked.
I think I'll be buying more of this one in other colors.

Althiugh it's 100% Merino, and says hand wash, this yarn would not felt for me. Once I got past that dissapointment, it is lovely yarn in very nice colorways. I will have to come up with projects for it, as I had planned to felt it.

Comments about Araucania Panguipulli:
I would classify this as a worsted weight and would not knit it on the suggested needle size. It seems somewhat heavier than Cascade 220, but it is definitely not chunky. I am getting about 4st/inch in garter. I don't have the reported problem of dye exhausting on my hands (am using Addi Turbo Lace, so wouldn't notice dye exhausting onto needles). Very nice; am already planning another garment.
Comments about Araucania Panguipulli:
The yarn is absolutely beautiful but will leave color behind on your fingers and needles. Also, I think the yarn is too thin to be classified as "heavy worsted." The finished look, however, is wonderful
