Manos del Uruguay Lace
Manos Lace is an opulent blend of baby alpaca, silk, and a touch of cashmere, for your finest heirloom lace projects. With 439 yards, you could get a lovely shawlette, or use two skeins to create a wonderful lace shawl.
Hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbleized, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colors. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. Colors may vary greatly.
We recommend buying enough yarn to complete a project. If there is great difference between skeins, we recommend working two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect. Made in Uruguay.

Comments about Manos del Uruguay Lace:
Words cannot merely describe how beautiful this yarn is to knit with, it is so soft it glides along the needles very easily. I am currently using it to knit a baby shawl for my 1st grandchild and it is turning out so beautiful. I can't wait to see he/she wrapped in it!! Can't recommend it enough.

Comments about Manos del Uruguay Lace:
I love lace crochet! I purchased this yarn first to create a shawl as a gift, and have since ordered it in two other colors; the combinations are subtle in some, dynamic in others ~ all lovely! I have used other Manos yarns (Silk Blend) and all their products are exquisite!

Comments about Manos del Uruguay Lace:
I purchased this yarn to make a crocheted shawl for a friend. I was very, very pleased with it overall. The color is beautiful and color-fast when washed. In three skeins, I only had one knot. The yarn blocked beautifully, and the finished shawl is exactly what I'd hoped it would be.
The only think I didn't like about this yarn was that once it was crocheted, it wanted to stay crocheted. I did have a bit of difficulty pulling out stitches when I had made a mistake. It wasn't a big issue when I found the error quickly, but I can imagine it would be a much bigger problem if you needed to rip back several rows.

Comments about Manos del Uruguay Lace:
This yarn made a beautiful and soft necking. I used a very open lace pattern on rather large needles for this weight yarn (#7) and the yarn held it's shape wonderfully. After blocking (with steam) the yarn became silkier. The color ways make a nice blend in my necking, not spotty or stripey as can sometimes happen with space dyed yarn. I will be purchasing more of this lovely and versatile yarn.
