This silky alpaca is indeed a pleasure to use. Soft with a nice spring to it and the colors are gorgeous. I've been using it double stranded and getting about 5-6 stitches to the inch. When the garment is done, I wash it in cold, very gentle and it becomes even better!!! The yardage on one ball makes this a great deal. 460 yards!

Of all the alpaca lace yarns I've tried, the CE Silky Alpaca lace is one of my favorites--among the best alpaca/silk available. I love the subtle sheen and strength of the silk .The alpaca is soft without having too much halo so your stitch work really shines. The muted colors are rich-- neither bland nor garish. It's a perfect yarn for lace shawls and scarves!
