Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Superior:
I used this double stranded to make a scarf on size 4 needles. I was looking for a dense lace, the scarf was more textural than truly lace. This was perfect, still light as air but warm and cozy. Surprisingly durable for such a fine yarn, A joy to knit. Perfect quality no breaks, dye very consistent, guage even, no lumps, unknit and reknit well. Just wonderful.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Superior:
This yarn is the perfect yarn if you're not doing textured stitchwork. It's soft. It's WAY soft. It has generous yardage. It knits easily - the halo is finer than a similar yarn in mohair, so you're not guessing between where your stitch is and what's just an extra strand of hair.
I use this single on size 2 needles for a fine, fabric-like texture; single on size 6 for an airy yet warm garment; doubled on size 6 for a super-cushy fabric, and doubled on 8s for those few times when I want to multistrand colors and still have an airy finished piece. This is almost literally the only yarn in my stash.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Superior:
I'm making the Mediterranean Lace shawl. Even with 10 skeins of yarn, the shawl is lightweight in the lap, and the pattern doesn't get boring simply because the yarn is such a delight to work with. My favorite yarn, ever! I've found no breaks or knots, in spite of the fine gauge of yarn. It's simply exquisite, and an inspiration. Seductive - touch this yarn, and you'll be hooked, and it won't let you down.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Superior:
So soft, airy, great to work with! It is very delicate, perfect for scarves and shawls. One of my favorite yarns! I love it!
Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Superior:
This is my favorite yarn. It's airy, yet warm; scrumptious in its softness. Touching this yarn was like petting my long-haired cat. I just wanted to stroke it. Obviously knitting with it was a complete joy. The colors are luminous. The colors on the screen matched the color on the ball surprisingly well. Only caveats - this is obviously not a hard wearing yarn. It's not appropriate for things like socks. Use it for delicate items like fine lace shawls or scarves. Also, it's expensive. In this case, though, you really do get what you pay for.
