Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:
I ordered this yarn because it was dark gray and when blended with white would make the scarf Shibui Mix. When I received it it was black. Black and black. Not even close to the picture of dark gray shown. I noted that the website did say, "colours may vary.." but black is black. I had to send it back. The person at Webbs I talked to said that dye lots were different. Not this different - black is not gray.

Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:
I knit my aunt a wide shawl with a log cabin type pattern, used lots of colors, she is also and artist and she loved it--the softness and the range of colors were her favorite part.
I have made many hats and caps with this yarn, it knits up wonderfully and looks great.
Easy to maintain the garments as well.
I highly recommend this yarn to anyone looking for a fine lace weight yarn with many color options to choose from.

Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:
I tried a lace shawl from the victorian lace book and used the mulberry color. I wore it last night and it just feels so luxurious yet it's warm. This is a fabulous yarn. Only negative is that it is such a lightweight yarn it was challenging for a novice with "old" eyes. When I first started, I had to use a magnifying glass. After a while, I adapted. I am hoping they have more colors this year.

Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:
I recommend winding this gossamer yet strong yarn by hand; not one knot or flaw in any of the 3 skeins I ordered and it wound very easily without tangling or snagging. I ordered mulberry: the color tone and saturation was better than expected. I design and crochet that is closer to knitting in weight and drape ... this yarn is perfect for 'fairy-weight' creations!

Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:
Shibui Silk Cloud is absolutely beautiful! It beats Rowan Kidsilk Haze hands down. It is so soft; an absolute dream to work with. I am holding it with Cascade Heritage Silk for Shetland Trader's Aestlight Shawl and I don't think I can bear to give it away. It is the best mohair/silk blend ever!

Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:
I am really in love with that yarn! I already made a few shawls with it and it is beautiful when finished and light like a breeze. Not for winter but for a summer night out or a special occasion....a sure inquiry about where you got it.
