I was in the midst of making a Hitchiker scarf with beads and needed another skein of yarn. I had bought the first skein last year, and was so happy to receive the second skein which matched perfectly. I think the service at WEBS is terrific and I wish I lived closer!q

I used this yarn to make a beret for my 87 year old father. Super super soft, and he just loves the hat, but it did get a little fuzzy.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Silk:

I made the Matimoko cardigan from Ravelry. The yarn is soft and springy and knits up very evenly with good stitch definition. However, before I could even finish the sweater, it started fuzzing and pilling. I have also snagged it with my rings a few times. I have worn it twice and it looks like it's at least a year old.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Silk:

Recently completed a Forest Path entrelac shawl in white Heritage Silk and it blocked out beautifully. The yarn is a bit slippery on steel needles, but a few rows of practice overcame that. The same silky slickness and sharp needle tips made even 7-stitch nupps a breeze! Luscious softness makes it ideal for scarves and shawls. Only complaint: too slippery for ball winders, so had to hand wind into balls. Tangles come apart easily, so minor trade-off for fantastic stitch definition and drape. Can't wait to try the Heritage Silk Paints on a Hitofude cardigan.

          Service and delivery comments:

Enjoyed the usual prompt delivery from Webs. Appreciate the welcome discount policy on large orders, too. Only complaint - first time this has happened - was the white Heritage Silk hanks were tossed in loose among the bagged yarns, so both picked up dust/black grime during transit. Washed out fine, so no problem, but a plastic bag would have prevented that.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Silk:

I used this for a hat (Komi Cap). It is wonderfully soft, and the colorwork stitches come out crisp and clear. It is a fairly fine fingering weight--size 0 or 1 needles worked well for me. I wish they offered more colors! The navy is a little dull, but the even, steady tone of it makes it good for this geometric colorwork pattern.
