Love this yarn
I used 2 skeins to knit a small shawl for a charity auction. It produced a stunning product that was much fought over. Easy to knit with. Hard to let go.

First i thought it's very nice texture and color. But the more I knitted, the more I noticed the yarn was squeaky, tangled, and it shred here and there. And you would see it in the middle of yarn toward to the end of it, so it would be no way you could notice at the beginning of knitting when it's still returnable. So I had to cut yarn where shred or tangled in the knitting.

I made a simple triangular scarf with lace sections and pointed hem that blocked beautifully and was very, very soft. Exquisite drape. Lovely colors to choose from!

The socks that I knitted turned out well. The yarn showed the ribbing well and felt good to work with. Great price. It was splitty but I adjusted and will use Charlemont again.

Comments about Valley Yarns Charlemont Kettle Dye:
Beautiful, soft yarn with a "dry" hand due to the silk content. I prefer knitting on small needles, so I am using it to make a jacket, but this yarn would make superior scarves, socks and hats as well.
Highly recommend!

I am using this for a simple, lacy scarf, and it is absolutely beautiful. It crochets up quickly and has a lovely feel to the touch. The color/dye is vibrant and fun to look at. Truly a beautiful yarn and worth the money. Am considering using it for similar Christmas gifts.
