I'm really impressed by the softness of this yarn. It is very smooth, almost cottony, and doesn't feel like it has any nylon in it at all. Many of my friends who dislike the texture of "wooly" yarns have loved Heritage. I've used it for socks and accessories, and I would love to knit a fine-gauge sweater from it one day.

I have made 5 pairs of socks with this yarn - after hand washing all the socks they all pilled - just awful. At [$] per skein I do expect better. Also 2 of the skeins tangled when winding the yarn. What a pain.I still have 2 skeins more for 2 more pairs of socks. I am very disappointed with this "fine yarn"

Absolutely beautiful yarn. The color was better than the picture showed. The twist is tight and even. Was very happy with the yarn. Will be purchasing more.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
This is my go-to sock yarn. The plying is nice and tight, finished objects wash like a dream and reblock without a struggle, and it is a true pleasure to knit with. The number of colors increases all the time, which makes it nice for stranded socks and accessories. It is equally at home with cables and lace, and has wonderful stitch definition. There's nothing not to love about this affordable, lovely yarn.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
I've used this yarn to make sweaters, vests and socks in the last year. It's a smooth, round, springy yarn that shows cables wonderfully, and is great for baby items, because it's washable.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
Looks good in rib or stockinette on a size 2 or 3 needle. I made a sweater, might be a bit pilly over time, hard to tell at this point. very soft and looks like nice even stitches.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
I have used this yarn again and again for socks. It knits up beautifully and - according to the recipients - washes and dries beautifully. They say socks knit out of this yarn wear well - better than brand name commercially produced socks. I usually do solid colors in a lace pattern. The stitch definition is good and they don't felt or shrink as some super wash wool does. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to knitting any for myself yet.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
I made my first shawl with the Heritage Sock (in an emerald green) and it came out beautifully! I gave the shawl to my Mom, and she loved it. I'm looking forward to making a scarf and more shawlettes with the other hanks I have.
Can't wait to buy more of it!

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
I used one hank of this yarn to make a baby set of hat, sweater, and booties. The yarn feels delicious and springy in your hands and washes up even softer. The only problem I had was with splitting the yarn if I didn't pay attention. Overall, Heritage is my favorite sock-weight yarn.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn:
I made a cowl and matching mittens because the pattern I used had me get more than I needed. Having too much of this yarn is not a bad thing! It is so soft and cozy. Loved it!
