I had no problems with this yarn as weft. One ball was enough for a scarf with amazing colour changes. Was very soft after washing and blocking.

I LOVE the colors on this yarn, but it is a very loosely spun single, and it splits like crazy. In addition, it's pretty scratchy as I knit with it; don't know how it will wash up. Don't buy it for something complicated requiring a lot of manipulation.
