Colors are undescribably and the yarn has alot of memory and thus springy stretch. Some of my recipients find the touch a bit rough so better that it be remembered as a wool lovers wool. Great for boot socks! I want to try the worsted next, perhaps even for a nice thick boot sock or a hat & scarf. Highly recommend for wooly lovers.

I'm knitting socks with two different skeins and colour ways of this yarn, and am having two very different experiences. The Cocoa Kiss skein is knitting up beautifully and looks like it will become lovely socks. In contrast, I've just wound and cast on a pair using Visual Purple. The yarn had 4 breaks in it that I discovered while winding (not an issue I've ever had in the past), and seems to be unevenly and loosely spun. I doubt I will actually knit these socks with this yarn, and am unsure what sort of project it would be better for. I am really disappointed by this skein, and it will make me think twice before ordering dream in color again. If australia had somewhere that I could look at and feel the yarn before purchasing I might consider it again but not for buying online.

Beautiful color variations within the yarn, without causing landscaping in the piece. I had dissapointment when one of the same dye lot skeins was quite different from the other two I was using.

I bought three hanks of this yarn. Spring Tickle and In Vino Veritas are great colors - rich and true to web site. But I was disappointed with ChinaTown Apple - it looks rather like a rotten apple and not as shown on the web site. However, I have done a bit of wool dyeing myself and know how difficult it is to replicate a good batch. ChinaTown Apple will suit someone, I am sure. I plan to use all this yarn for socks, my family love them.

I used this to make a lacy shawl. I love the vibrant color (I used scorched lime and have spring tickle in a queue). The yarn knits smoothly and softens after washing. I find it reasonably priced compared to other hand-dyed yarns. I plan to use it again.

I may be the only one who does not like this yarn as the other reviews seem to be good. I heard this was a great sock yarn and ordered a skein to give it a try. I have worked with some wonderful sock yarn in the past, but this was not one of them. The yarn felt harsh and hard in my hands. I literally hated the way it felt to knit with. I don't know if it softens after washing, but that would only mean that there is a LOT of sizing in the unwashed yarn. If it doesn't soften, then I would never want to feel it on my foot. I threw it away.
