This one of the best yarn choices for the Wingspan Shawl (pattern from Ravelry). The colors stripe in a perfect sequence. I've knit 3 as gifts and every recipient was DAZZLED by the beautiful colors. I'd definitely use this yarn again, but not for "direct skin contact". As others have mentioned, it's a bit rough for that, but it's great for "outerwear".

I've knitted both a scarf and a pair of socks with this yarn, and it is one of the most stimulating little skeins I've ever knitted in my life. The colors feel like Christmas in July, you keep waiting for the next one to appear. In the scarf, as much as I like it, it is coarse for my skin and will not be a good match for eczema prone people. And, like the previous reviewer commented, it does pill a bit. Regardless, I happen to like real wool feeling, and like the texture of this particular yarn, the only thing to fix would be to make a bit more eczema friendly.

I'm currently using a Zauberball to knit a small shawl, and in a word, it's AMAZING. The colors are vibrant, the yarn is soft, and the color transitions make for really fun knitting. I'm not sure I'd use it for socks, just because I'd be concerned about wear, but for non-sock knitting, this yarn is brilliant!

Lovely color and softness. I see other reviews complaining of odd color changes and I must say that I used two contrasting Zauberball colors to stripe them, which might have made them less noticeable - it worked nicely. The people receiving them as gift were very pleased. I am definitely getting more of this wonderful yarn again.

The colors are beautiful, but watch out for really unfortunate color splices, like red-orange into turquoise! I had to take the yarn apart and spent hours resplicing it until the color sequence was blended better. The texture of mine was very nice, and the finished socks are lovely, but I don't know if I'd buy more of this.

While I love the color changes in this yarn, it is extremely fuzzy. I had to shave the socks after the first wear. While knitting the first pair of child size socksI came across a break in the yarn which when the fixed it, the color sequence changed. I tried to knit a second pair out of the yarn but came across another break and a complete change in color sequence. Since when doing stripes I stress about them matching I only got one pair of child size socks out of them. I Will Not buy this yarn again.
