Not so scrumptious done

Pros

  • Works Up Quick

Cons

  • Does Not Drape
  • Not so soft

Best Uses

I am really changing my review as I did the first one based on the swatch, which I will not do again. Many things ended up bothering me about the yarn. I really thought after blocking the vest would somehow get some drape and soften up. It did neither. I made a 38 1/2, looks like there is a 2" ease, but the yarn did not give much at all. The sleeves have no drape. Not happy with the yarn at all, will not buy it again or use for any project. Must be the acrylic in it.

As soon as I saw the Contentment Vest pattern I wanted to knit it, just like the picture in the same colors. I was very leery to order this yarn without 1 review. I am not very experienced in bulky yarns yet. Have been using a lot of sock and worsted so far and also have been spoiled with Madelinetosh so this was really going out on a limb. I thought someone has to start, right? Got the yarn today, so excited to start. Pattern calls for a 17 needle and I kept swatching until I got down to a 13. I have small hands so I think it was just hard trying to manage the 17's. I blocked the swatch and Oh MY!!!! Very soft, not sure how it will drape, but this is sleeveless so the drape will not be as big of a deal. There is a slight halo with the yarn, it is just plain gorgeous. I am very impressed. Will be excited on how the end turns out.
