Comments about Briggs & Little Heritage:
This yarn is a fantastic buy for the yardage. It is a sturdy yarn that would be great for a cardigan or coat/jacket. It's a bit coarse, but I love the sheepy color. I ordered some in a medium gray and can't wait to make some mittens with it. I'm using the Sheep's Grey for Jared Flood's Guernsey Wrap.

Comments about Briggs & Little Heritage:
I haven't used this yet. Bought the blue heather. It's gorgeous! I am planning on ordering more. This is going to be a really functional yarn. I live at the beach, so warmth and casual-ness is what I'm after. This yarn is swatched and ready, so I know it's going to be gorgeous!

Beautiful wool for a heavy sweater. I also love the color, and it displays the ornate patterns I'm working with beautifully.

Comments about Briggs & Little Heritage:
I purchased this yarn to make a sweater for my boyfriend. It has a coarse but not unpleasant hand, and softens significantly with washing. This is not a yarn to put against your neck, but would be good for jackets and sweaters intended to be worn over long-sleeved shirts.
It's a good value substitute for other rustic yarns, like Brooklyn Tweed SHELTER.

Comments about Briggs & Little Heritage:
Sturdy - probably more useful for knitted items not next to the skin. Did not work well with other yarns in the Christmas stocking. Cascade 220 and Vintage.

Comments about Briggs & Little Heritage:
Lofty and firm at same time--not soft for next to skin--- this is meant for heavy Outerwear vests, jackets, also superb boot socks, felts GREAT plus the colors are beautiful. Glad to see it carried here as the only LYS near me to have it, closed. Try it-- just 2 skeins for 3 prs of felted mittens.
