Comments about Blue Sky Alpacas Multi Cotton:
I searched about a month for the perfect yarn for a baby blanket. Found it! It is beautifully dyed, super soft and smooshy, and just a nice yarn to work with. Only downside to this yarn is that to knit double stranded I spent over $150 on yarn to make the blanket. I hope it holds up considering the cost. However, if cost is not an issue, this is gorgeous yarn!

I'm knitting a dress for a two-year old and the pattern is showing up beautifully. The variance of the dye adds a depth to the garment. It's a joy to work with.

Comments about Blue Sky Alpacas Multi Cotton:
I used the Gherkin (6802) to make a 36x36 baby blanket for someone who requested I used organic cotton. I loved the colors and the texture and could not find anything similar in my search. It worked beautifully. I would definitely reserve it for special projects because of the cost.I was very happy with the results.

Comments about Blue Sky Alpacas Multi Cotton:
I bought this yarn for the sheer beauty of the colors, and ended up making a pillow out of the several skeins I had. My daughter quickly claimed the pillow as her own. I then purchased 8 different colors of the solid version of this yarn, and I'm working on one of the softest cotton blankets I've ever made. I'll be buying more soon!

Comments about Blue Sky Alpacas Multi Cotton:
If you've tried the Worsted Cotton from Blue Sky this is the same yarn but with the varying colors. IThe Icing (6806), is a beautiful and subtle yarn with the changes blending nicely together and the end product tastefully blends the different shades of pink, cream and light purple. The Marmalade (6801) is pretty in the skein, but where it really shines is when you start knitting with it. I am not usually a fan of bright colors, but the colors on this one are amazing, bright and fun--it blends shades of yellow, orange, hot pink and red--and it really does make you think of a nice marmalade. (I should note that the hot pink does not mean this is a "girls" color, I used it for a boy's hat and they loved it)
