I'm knitting my son a school jumper with this yarn. It's absolutely fine for this purpose; although I had envisaged something more 'wooly'. But this is superwash, and I suspect that might be the compromise one has to make with such yarns. Anyway, it knits quickly and fairly easily. Minor issues I have with it (and this might be due to my relative inexperience as a knitter) is that it splits fairly easily if I'm not paying attention to my knitting. The other thing is that it's incredibly dull to knit (I prefer more interesting yarns and colours; this is navy blue, pretty boring). Overall though it's pretty much spot on for a school jumper. It's yet to undergo a wear/wash test, so we'll see.

Making an Irish knit men's sweater in the denim color. I teach knitting and crocheting and this yarn had wonderful memory. It's great on my hands. The design is super lovely with this yarn.

Because the yarn is washable I knit childrens
        sweaters,hats,mittens and socks. The stitches
are uniform and the material is soft, and comfortable. The definition of pattern is difined!

Purchased for kids' Christmas sweaters, with red as MC, and white CC for snowflakes, intarsia. Very true to gauge of 5 st per inch on size 7 needles. Love the stitch definition, and will purchase more of this yarn for other sweater projects. I really appreciate WEBS packaging and shipping; yarn always arrives in good condition.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash:

I wanted a super soft yarn for a baby cardigan I plan to give as a gift. The recipient is not a knitter so I knew she wasn't up for hand washing the garment every time baby spit up on the front of it. This yarn fit the bill. It's very soft, has good stitch definition, includes generous yardage, and it's machine washable. All the things I needed!

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash:

I wanted a wool yarn that was soft enough for babies heads as I make hats for babies and toddlers. I found this yarn last winter when I started selling and I've used it two seasons in a row.

It is so soft for a wool, people don't believe me when I say it's 100%! Since I make kids stuff, the machine washable part is super important as well.

I get great mileage out of one skein of yarn, so for the price, this goes a long way! Plus I love the color variety!
