I am attending a Roaring Twenties themed wedding this summer and needed some kind of head covering. I bought the Northwest Coast Flapper Hat Pattern and used this yarn to knit it up. I added a rhinestone pin and voila! I can hardly wait to wear it.

This is nice when knitted up, but make sure you have very smooth and sharp needles! Ripping out stitches is a pain because this splits very easily. That said, the texture and mix of fibers looks great - very designer-y!

I was disappointed in the coarseness of the material. I am hoping that once washed maybe it will soften somewhat. If not, will try some fabric softener. But it makes a beautiful garment; making a pattern called Cowboy Cowl and it is gorgeous.

I'm on a yarn buying tear, and I was looking for a yarn with shimmer. Artful Yarns Olympic (colors: Rome, Melbourne and Barcelona) hit the spot!
It snags a little, but the color and shimmer make me smile. I am using Rome to knit a lace pattern scarf. The colorway reminds me of Fruity Pebbles, and I am hoping my friend will appreciate the youth in the knit!
