Worsted 4-5 sts/in
Cascade Yarns Cloud 9
Cascade Cloud 9 definitely lives up to its name! It is extremely soft to the touch and has a wonderful selection of colors. The blend of wool and angora in Cloud 9 means you can enjoy all the softness of angora without all the shedding. Made in Peru.
Note: Because of the loftiness of angora, this yarn can be knit at a range of gauges. As with all projects, you'll want to do a gauge swatch first to determine the best needle/hook size for your project.

I was concerned that the angora would shed, but it has not. The yarn knits up into a dreamy, soft, fluffy afghan that I can't wait to give my daughter!

I started knitting a sweater with this, took it on a trip, and the yarn fuzzed up something TERRIBLE in my knitting bag. The yarn then had to be torn from the ball, and the knit piece fuzzed so that I couldn't make out the stitches. I loved the color, and it was soft and pretty, but I didn't end up finishing the sweater because of the yarn.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Cloud 9:
I am a huge fan of alpaca. Cloud 9 is just as soft and luxurious! It is wonderful to work with. The yarn is not splitty or delicate...doesn't pull apart. Yet it gives a soft fabric that pampers you. I have made scarves and fingerless mitts with Cloud 9 and been Very happy with the results. I bought more for a sweater..as it is so soft, I can imagine how wonderful a whole sweater will be!

Comments about Cascade Yarns Cloud 9:
I knit Susie's Reading Mitts with this yarn. They turned out beautifully, a perfect match of yarn and pattern. Cloud 9 is a keeper! It feels full and rich, and does not shed.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Cloud 9:
Unlike many Angora based yarns, this yarn does not seem to shed. The colors are wonderful, and while it feels soft to the touch in ball form, it knits up even softer. I made a lacy hat, and everyone who touches it wants to rub it against their cheek! Truly beautiful - I plan on making a sweater in Berry.
